On this day

A year ago today in your garden

Remera brings your own moments back to you on the day they happened: what you planted, picked and spotted, a year ago and every year after.

The Memory Album's On this day page: asparagus seedlings potted on a year ago, with a beetroot harvest, a bumblebee and more from the same day below.

What Remera does

A garden record that grows with you

Remera keeps the whole story of your garden and becomes more useful and more personal every year you use it.

Capture

Log plants, wildlife, projects, moments and journal entries, with photos, or simply tell Ask Remera what you did. Not sure what a plant or visitor is? Take a photo and Remera will suggest what it is. Every entry is dated, so everything builds its own story.

Remember

See what was happening on this day in past years, compare a project's before and after photos and read a Garden Story that Remera writes from what you have captured.

Ask Remera

Ask questions about your own garden and get AI answers drawn from your records, not generic advice. Or tell it what you did, like "planted the garlic today", and it saves it to your garden straight away, with Undo if you change your mind.

Plan

Keep track of your garden projects and your garden jobs, with reminders and jobs that repeat. See your plans on a calendar, with care plans for many common plants. Get weather forecasts for today and tomorrow, with a tip when the weather calls for action.

Inside the app

A real garden, a real year

A garden, followed through a year: its plants, its visitors and the moments in between.

The Remera home screen: Ask Remera at the top, a photo of a vegetable garden with sunflowers, then the jobs coming up: plant garlic cloves, lift the first parsnips, collect sunflower seeds and clear the tomato plants.
Your garden at a glance
The garden calendar for October: dots on the days with moments earlier in the month, jobs coming up later in the month, and Plant garlic cloves on the 21st.
Your jobs and moments, month by month
A wildlife record called Horses over the fence, with a photo of a foal at a wire fence and its three sightings.
Every visitor, remembered
Ask Remera answering what to plant for bees and birds: let herbs like chives and thyme flower in the sunny veg beds, grow sunflowers for seed, and the lavender, salvia and sunflowers already in the garden help too.
Ask about your own garden
A project called Hoop cover for the brassicas: a raised bed under blue hoops and fine netting, with its next job, Check the netting after the gales.
Every project, from first idea to finished
Garden Story: the story of Home garden over two years, then a section called The new veg bed, telling how the tomatoes went from seed in spring to the first ripe ones in September.

Why I'm building this

A beginner, building the app I wish I had

I started building Remera because I realised my garden was becoming full of stories. My partner and I bought our first house together and started working in our garden. Remembering and keeping track of what we planted, when the greenhouse went up and when we first saw a robin nesting in a hole in the apple tree meant scrolling back through my camera roll.

I'm not a gardening expert. I'm figuring things out as I go, one border at a time. I didn't want another plant tracker. I wanted somewhere to remember what happened, when it happened and how it felt. Remera is for people who see their garden as more than a list of jobs. It's a place full of memories.

Questions

Good to know

What is Remera?

A garden journal app for iPhone and Android. Record your plants, wildlife, projects and moments with photos and Remera brings them back to you, season after season.

When can I get it?

We're aiming for early 2027. We're testing with a small group of gardeners now. Sign up for launch updates and we'll email you the day it's available.

How much will it cost?

Remera will be free to download and recording your plants, wildlife, projects and moments will always be free. The AI features, like Ask Remera and Garden Story, are likely to become part of an optional Premium subscription, along with care plans and photo identification beyond a fair everyday amount. We'll share prices before launch.

Does it work outside the UK?

Yes, you can use Remera wherever you garden. Add your garden with a UK postcode or the name of your town, wherever it is, and you'll get a weather forecast for it. In other ways it's still tailored to the UK: it's currently in English only, and care plans and seasonal suggestions are written for UK gardens, so they only appear for gardens in the UK. Ask Remera will still help and knows your garden isn't in the UK.

What happens to everything I record?

They're yours. You can export everything at any time and delete your account whenever you like. We don't sell your data.

Does it use AI?

Some features do, like Ask Remera, Garden Story and identifying plants and wildlife from a photo. They're always optional and some are likely to become part of Premium (see How much will it cost?). Nothing you record is used to train AI models. The details are in our privacy notice.

Who's behind it?

Me, Sarah: a beginner gardener building the app I wish I had. Remera is made by Remera Studio Ltd, a small independent company in England.
